1. Acceptance Testing

• Translate user stories: - Agile requires close collaboration between product owners, developers and QA testers to develop effective acceptance tests. VersionOne provides the collaboration platform and an easy-to-use interface to translate user stories into effective acceptance tests.
• Test progress and results: - VersionOne facilitates the scheduling and running of tests during iterations. Because teams require timely feedback on the progress and results of tests, a built-in electronic Testboard and multiple standard roll-up reports can be easily accessed by all stakeholders.

2. Regression Testing

• Ensure testing consistency: - Over the life of a project, thousands of acceptance tests are created. Reinventing the wheel is an efficiency killer, VersionOne alleviates rework by enabling teams to generate a reusable inventory of regression tests. Using regression test suites, organize and execute regression tests to ensure that previously-delivered functionality is working as expected. Run a single test suite in multiple environments to ensure comprehensive and consistent test coverage. Multiple dashboards and standard reports are provided to track progress and report on results.
• Generate Test Inventory: - Test existing functionality by creating regression tests directly from completed acceptance tests. After each sprint, generate new regression tests for functionality just delivered. Using flexible tagging, regression tests can be easily organized and grouped along multiple dimensions. Role-based security allows controlled access to the creation and updating of regression tests.
• Create Test Plans: - Multiple test plans can be created for each project or release to cover different types of testing, such as core functionality, specific features or performance testing.
• Organize Tests Into Test Suites: - Organize your testing with easy-to-build regression test suites. Filter and select tests from your test inventory to create reusable test suites, which can be executed in multiple environments and future sprints.
• Testing Management Visibility: - Team members have complete visibility into acceptance and regression testing progress and results via standard reports and dashboards, including a Testboard. All dashboards and reports include test results from third-party tools such as HP Quality Center, which can be easily integrated into VersionOne via free, open-source connectors.
• Create and Manage Test Sets: - Combine test suites with selected environments to automatically generate test sets. Schedule test sets just like backlog items and defects within a sprint, making it easy to track time and effort of testing activities within the sprint.
